Let’s taste coffees together from the comfort and safety of our own homes. Part of the beauty of coffee cupping is that it is easy to set up anywhere in the world. We’ll send you bowls, spoons, coffee, and a Zoom meeting password. All you need is some hot water and a computer. So, even though we can’t meet in the same place, we can all taste the same coffees at the same time using the magic of the Internet.
This cupping is going to be all about processing at the farm. Did you know that all coffee is fermented at the farm? That’s a crucial step in developing the different flavors you taste in your cup and in preparing the coffee for shipment. We’re going to taste three coffees that were all processed differently: washed, natural, and the so-called “anaerobic” process. This is maybe one of the most exciting areas of research in coffee currently, so we’re excited to share our knowledge with you.
The cupping package includes three 4-oz bags of coffee:
Nicaragua Los Encuentros, natural process
Guatemala El Diamante, washed process
Costa Rica Cordillera del Fuego, anaerobic
You must purchase your package by Wednesday, November 11 in order to receive it in time for the cupping. All packages will be roasted and shipped on November 12. The instructions included in the package will have a Zoom meeting ID and password that will allow you to join on the day of the cupping.
