This coffee comes from the high mountain region around Ethiopia’s Alaka village in the Hamela district, Guji zone. Kenesa, who owns a handful of sites around the Guji area, specifically specializes in sourcing high quality natural coffees from local farmers. This particular coffee was harvested from trees growing in well drained loam soil located at 2100 - 2300 masl. We sourced this coffee through Falcon Coffees, who are committed to making a difference and having a positive impact everywhere they trade. “We seek to improve the economic outcomes in coffee supply chains. To change the culture from profiteering to nurturing, where we share the responsibility of environmental stewardship and social cohesion.”
We are excited to offer another natural process coffee from the Guji region! We taste a lot of sweetness out of this cup. Look for fruit-forward acidity, with delicious notes of peach and blueberry. The tea-like body, and slight punchy note of amaretto lend this coffee an easy drinkability.
